The term “automated” means that the reading is mechanically produced by a computer. Computers are amazing tools and capable of doing many things better and faster than humans, so it is only natural that computer programs would be designed to make tarot readings easier and more convenient as well. Automated readings, however, eliminate the human factor all together and this is not always a good thing, especially when it concerns divination. Human intuition is a key factor in effective and accurate readings. If we are to eliminate the intuitive powers of human influence, it should at least be replaced with a higher power rather than a more technical device.
