A Spacious Wedding Itinerary

Nowadays there are a lot of ways to coordinate and vary up a wedding itinerary. These variations exist because there are traditional itineraries out there, as well as modern itineraries. One of the best ways to keep people at your wedding and involved in the events is to not rush through them. Spacing out each of the events throughout the night rather than rushing through them is imperative to the overall success of the wedding. While there are some traditional wedding professionals who are not used to this format and would even disagree as to whether or not it is the best way to run a wedding, there are some key factors that will prove that it is in fact the best way to run a wedding itinerary.
An example of a not spacious itinerary would be to walk into the reception room and go right into the first dance then move into toast, and then sit down for dinner. At the end of dinner you would cut the cake and then go back into father/daughter dance and the rest of the special event dances. This basically tells your guests about an hour and a half into the wedding that they have seen all of the important events and they can now leave your wedding reception early, without missing a whole lot. No need to fear this though, as there is a simple solution to fix the problem. If you have hired a wedding DJ that doesnt necessarily have knowledge of how to formulate an itinerary based around entertainment you can easily arrange one for them that will ensure a successful wedding reception.
A wedding reception that doesn’t have it’s guests stay and have a good time, is basically an overpriced dinner party. If you want a successful reception, then you are going to want to do everything in your power to make sure that your guests stay and have a good time. You can start by taking control of the dance floor. You do this by spacing out the events with some open dancing, so when the DJ announces the next event your guests came off of the dance floor because they were asked too, rather than because they were bored of dancing. Open dancing between the special event dances is the easy solution to space out your wedding itinerary and keeping your guests involved and entertained.
This format can be maintained through the rest of the evening. Spreading out the events with some open dancing. For example after toasts and the first dance, you can invite the couples out for some open dancing and then eventually move into the cake cutting, followed by some more open dancing and then you can move into the father/daughter dancing into some more open dancing etc. This cushion also ensures that there isn’t any awkward downtime because the coordinator and Wedding DJ can move around the reception room to make sure everyone is in their right place, before announcing the event. Remember that rushing your wedding itinerary is a sure way to get your guests bored of the format of your wedding. If you want them to stay and enjoy the dance floor and the party you have put together for them, then you need to base the itinerary around entertainment.
Remember that the key to having a successful wedding reception is to entertain your guests. Keeping them at your reception isn’t always a difficult task if you have spent proper time planning you wedding and itinerary. While some say it’s the entertainment that makes or breaks the wedding, it’s more the itinerary that can truly affect the outcome of your wedding.
