Church Radius is an Internet based software site. They offer free church accounting through the Internet. In other words in order to access your accounting information you need a connection to the Internet.
Although you can’t beat the price, having your churches financial information stored on the net may not be the safest route. In addition, sometimes web-based software has annoying banner ads. These ads are what make it possible to give the software away for free.
Sunday Software
Sunday Software is a well known site for anyone serious about church software. Unfortunately the site doesn’t actually make or sell any church accounting software. Nonetheless the site does have some great resources for churches.
Churchtrac.com
Churchtrac makes and sells church accounting software. The software appears very user friendly. They even offer the software for free for up to 100 contributing members. In other words when you start accounting for your 101st member, they start charging you.
Churchbizonline
Churchbizonline is actually what shows up first if you type in “free church accounting software” into Google (at least it was the day in which this article was written). The site actually only contains a link to Open Office. Open Office is the free version of Microsoft Office. It has nothing to do with church accounting software.
Useful church accounting software will probably cost you some money. Some free options exist, but they definitely have their limitations. Best of luck managing your church in these economically difficult times.
