Love Lessons 101 - Five Romance Tips For The Guys

Romance can be defined in many ways, but the best ones refer to a feeling of excitement associated with love. This excitement can either be very intense or playful. If romance comes easy to you, you’ve got it within you to keep your relationship alive for a very long time. If it doesn’t, it can be learned.
1.) Centuries ago, love letters and love poetry were very much an artistic production. They’re unfashionable today, but things old fashioned and romance seem to go together. Get a book of love poetry, pick one poem and alter it so that she will believe that it was penned by you.
Place it in a box of expensive chocolates and have it gift wrapped.
2.) Do something totally out of the blue. Women love being taken by surprise. The thing about surprises is that you’re doing something that you ordinarily would not do.
It may mean leaving your comfort zone some. If you are the stay-at-home type then spend the night (or weekend) on a well thought out romantic excursion. Planning in advance is important because no plan means that you will just fall back on old routines and habits.
Doing the same old stuff isn’t what a surprise is about. There’s nothing more unromantic than saying: “So, now what?”
If you’re the matter-of-fact, practical type, this will seem very difficult to do. However, you have one big advantage over the experienced Don Juan types: any romantic gesture coming out of you is going to be huge with her because it’s the last thing that she expects from you. You have the element of surprise in your favor.
3.) If she’s had a very stressful work week, then rise early on Saturday morning and prepare her favorite breakfast. Bring it to her on a fancy tray for breakfast in bed. Depending on how stressed out she is, you might permit her some quiet time reading a favorite magazine or book.
4.) An open fireplace has great potential for a romantic evening particularly in the wintertime. Things like a crackling fire along with champagne, some wine, a comfy love seat, and dimmed lights all create the perfect atmosphere for romance. This is especially effective if you’re at a getaway such as a skiing lodge, rustic cabin, or an elegant hotel.
5.) When you’re dealing with romance, you don’t always have to hit the ball out of the park. Big, grand romantic gestures certainly work but can be hard to keep up on a daily basis. This is when frequent small gestures are used.
Women tend to appreciate the small gestures and the big ones equally. So try to give her lots of compliments, kisses, hugs, touching, and expressions of appreciation.
