Love - Love Poems And Letters
Sep 11th, 2008 by Angelina D'Amours
Whenever I receive a love letter or love poem, I am flattered my lover took the time out to write it. I am most touched by the ones that are well thought out and from my lovers heart. When you write a love note, make sure you personalize it as much as possible, to let your lover know you are speaking directly to him or her.
When you write your love letter or love poem, make it original. Buying a card with prewritten words is easy and doesn’t have the same affect as something that has come from you. If you feel you are not poetic, use another poem or letter as a guide and personalize it to suit your special person.
You can take several different poems, in fact, and then take what you love most from each of them to create your own. This takes some practice, Try starting with just one sentence. Change the words around to reflect your own personal feelings and then go on from there.
You can even make your own card if you have an artistic bend. Add pictures, dried flowers, and scents. Don’t rush. Type it out or use your own handwriting if you know calligraphy or have beautiful handwriting. Look at samples first, and mimic their format.
Let your Lover find the card when you are not around them. Hide it but not too well. You know their habits. Let your card be the sunshine in their day.
Own your Prose. Make sure you get good credit for writing your loved one. Don’t think that if you mark your note “anonymous” that she will just know it is from you.
Don’t wait for a special occasion. It does not have to be a birthday, Christmas, valentines or any other holiday. Give this card with a small gift inside when least expected. It will work wonders for your relationship.
Let the artist in you roar like a lion. Give cards and gifts often, but not too often. Continue to let it be something special and your Lover will love and cherish you for it.
