Due to the number of problems that the Russian people have faced together in the recent years, they are extremely dependent on each other. They have not had an easy life due to the various economic and political problems their nation has faced. Sometime in 1990, Russia almost faced destruction, and although things are now looking up for them, the kind of unemployment that they have to face has forced many of the Russians to share their bread and earnings with the entire community.
Russian women believe strongly in their traditions. They come from a society where uncertainty is not well accepted and they feel insecure when they do not have strong men around. They not only respect their parents, but they ask advice from their aunts and when they were younger they listened very carefully to their grandmothers. They know that their family will need them when they get old and retire.
Unfortunately, because of the economic problems in Russia, the wages are very low and people rarely manage to pay for even the smallest of utility bills like water and heat. Brides always keep this in the back of their mind when they start a relationship with a foreigner. If your future bride is not discussing her family problems, it is best to bring them up by asking a few delicate questions.
Getting to know your mother in law and father in law and their way of living is a terrific idea and can help avoid a number of problems and misunderstandings in the future. It is better if you know how they live their life and how it is going, or you bride might shock you one day by saying she is leaving to take care of her mother.
There are many who say Russian marriages occur due to manipulative women’s need for financial stability, but this is not true. Of course no woman will deny that her life has drastically improved since she got married, but this is only one part of the story. These women genuinely want to find true love, and they realize that it could exist anywhere in the world, not just in their own country.
However, Russian brides still hold true to their old traditions of supporting their family and respecting their husbands at the same time. Finances are usually shared and the savings are considered to be both of their money.
According to Russian traditions, a wife is allowed to work, but there is still a certain amount of sexism involved when it comes to the wife making more money than the husband. You should be aware of the fact that some of your money will be saved so that it can be sent back to your wife’s family living in Russia.
