The Filipina woman is often times conservative about how she conducts herself, particularly in public. A Filipina lady is usually prim and proper in her actions. This is because the Philippines is a country with many old fashioned ways.
Some Filipina Americans have become popularly famous and even made it to Hollywood, music industry or American television, like Vanessa Anne Hudgens of “High School Musical”, Anna Maria Perez de Tagle who played Ashley from “Hannah Montana”, Nicole Scherzinger who is the lead singer of the “Pussycat Dolls”, Vanessa Minnillo, Cheryl Burke who is a participant in “Dancing with the Stars”, Tia Carrere and many others.
Filipina women always respect her elders. Most Filipina ladies in the Philippines live with her parents and elders as long as she is still unmarried no matter how old she is.
Filipina ladies have close family relationships. She has strong bonds with extended family members like her aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, grandparents, and even neighbors!
Filipina ladies have strong religious beliefs. Many Filipina women are Catholic or Christian in faith, and they usually regularly go to church every Sunday with family members or friends. It will mean a lot to her if you can go to church with her too. However, she is also open minded and is willing to accept your religion and your faith if someday she will become your wife. Filipina girls are brought up to respect her husband and always support him and be there for him.
Filipina ladies take her relationships seriously. Being in a relationship is a serious matter with Filipina girls. They see a relationship as a step towards marriage, so that is why she must consider a man very well before choosing him as a boyfriend. That is why many Filipina ladies are expected to be playing hard to get. It is also one way by which the Filipina girl can measure the sincerity of her man. She will also take a man seriously if only he is really willing to visit her family and introduce himself formally to her parents. It is considered disrespectful if a man courts a Filipina woman without informing her parents! In the Philippines, you should know that it is always expected that the man must show his face to the Filipina girl’s family or else her whole family will not approve of you!
